Venus-Moon conjunction over Brisbane River, 17 Sep 09

Hi all,

I saw there was a nice conjunction of Venus and the Moon low on the eastern horizon before sunrise this morning, and the forecast was good, so I set the alarm for 4:20 and drove to the bank of the Brisbane River.

I wasn't disappointed! - the view was very nice. Here are 3 images, taken between 4:45 and 5:00 am Brisbane time. Definately worth getting up for .

Thanks for looking! (Did anyone else catch the view this morning?)

Cheers,
Stephen

Lovely work again Stephen,

I think I prefer the wider field image of the three, very nice composition.

Interesting to hear different people's favourites - my initial view was that number 1 was best!

Cheers,
Stephen
