Just back from Astrofest. Geez if I had known it was your birthday I would have come back yesterday - actually maybe not, the port was rather nice last night. So consider it a happy belated birthday and that I had a few ports in celebration thereof last night!

It would probably seem a bit rude that I didn't thank you all earlier but I've been away up at Mudgee Observatory for the new moon weekend and have been out of contact since the 20th.
Out of four nights (I got a leave pass for an extra night seems it was my birthday) we had about seven clear hours total. We lost the Ashes and lost the Bledisloe. I've just got home (left at 6am after observing from 1.30am to 5am through broken cloud -- desperate) and wife and daughter are both in bed with a gastro-bug. Its the tax appointment tomorrow afternoon and ...

Back to reality now, I'm heading downstairs now to unpack the car and do the washing. After that I get to sort through all the documents for the tax guy.
