EQASCOM updated to v1.18a

I asked a question in the EQMod Yahoo Group just the other day about the possibility of being able to use one of my gamepad controllers to "sync" planetarium software (eg CdC). There was a quick discussion about it, and next thing there's a new release with this feature incorporated! (along with some other new features obviously) How awesome is that?

It's not available through the main EQMod homepage. Think you need to join the Yahoo Group. Read details of the release here: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/EQMOD/message/19635

There's also a new application ASCOMPAD which I believe allows you to use your gamepad to adjust electronic focusers among other things.

This may all be old news to you all, just thought I'd share.

Thanks Troy, I'll have to check this out.
I assume the sequence would be something like:
1. Slew to chosen ra/dec co-ords
2. Adjust FOV with gamepad
3. Press sync button (twice) to sync correct position against the original co-ords?

Yeah mate, that's the way I understand it's supposed to work. I tried it up at Astrofest over the last couple of days and sometimes it worked, others it didn't. Not sure if it's me (usually is), or the update is a little flakey still?
