I know...but if that's the answer they want, then that's the one they get

100% by picking the wrong/right answer on 3.

I thought the last one was the Dish but remembered that it was around for the Apollo landings so this would make it over 40 years so I pick the Anglo and got it right.

I didn't think so, tho I did kinda guess it lol.
a) and d) were too old, b) I had never heard of, so naturally I had to choose c)

Only one I got wrong was Q1, would never have guessed that answer.

If I hadn't read the thread first I may have got #10 wrong, which would have been silly. When I think back I can remember the AAT opening and that would have been a year or two after I joined the astronomy club. As others have said 'the dish' was running at least 5 years before that (actually much more than 5 years before that), I think Narrabri was already going (and SUSI was also up there) and of course Stromlo had been around for ages (they used to have some very historic scopes there).

So!!! Who wants to write the quiz that will test IISers??
