New AviStack v1.80 now available!

Dear all,

I have just uploaded the new AviStack v1.80.
http://www.avistack.de

There is good news for all of you who had trouble reading certain AVI codecs and who are Windows users. Thanks to a DLL and DLM made available by Ronn Kling, you can now read all AVI codecs installed on your computer (e.g. LEAD/MCMP). See the AviStack homepage for installation instructions.

If you additionally install the AviSynth frame server you can even read some MOVs (e.g. Canon DSLR HD movies) and MPEGs.

AviStack now also supports the Lucam Recorder's SER format (all systems).

There are other improvements as well, especially the movie picker.

Regards,
Michael

TBH I struggled with registax, rarely getting a result from it, too many options for a noob to handle and nothing seemed to make a difference.
Avistack was easy to use, gave me results, possibly faster than registax, had a few crashes from fullsize DSLR .tifs but it sounds like it may be sorted in the new version.

Give it a try

Please, let me know if you have trouble or whether it now works OK. I tried it out with 40D images and it al went well, including saving the stacked image.
However, when I tried to use the wavelet sharpening tool, the program ran out of memory
Looks like more work for me...

Thanks again,
Michael
