Marsrise & Moonrise from tassie

Well I watched it thru the 10x25 binos.

Clouds were playing havoc, but i got to see mars and the moon in the field of view of the binoculars.

Guess i am going to have to get a canon 20da and a telephoto for those types of shots. Put in the budget for 2015!!

Keen to try for some moonrises thru the scope with the 40mm for 30x. Trees against the moon would look nice!

I was grumpy due to the clouds and had put the scope away, but cheered up watching this!!

I watched the same event while having a Beach BBQ (we do that a lot up here)
It was beautiful seeing the Moon & Mars together.
They were almost the same colour as they rose through the clouds over the "Gulf"
