2" BinTel Crayford Focuser + Adapter

I recently upgraded to a JMI motorised focuser, so the Bintel Crayford focuser I had on the scope is looking for a new home. In excellent condition.

Also comes with adapter plate to mate with Orion/SkyWatcher scope. The focuser retails for $99 and the adapter was extra $45. Will sell for $50 plus postage.

Any chance of a pic of the focuser?

Pictures of 2" Bintel focuser

And attached the images of the focuser and the adapter plate.

Note that this is a focuser for a Newtonian reflector and is NOT the dual speed (10:1) focuser (I had an AccuFocus attached, so didn't need the 10:1 facility).

Adapter ring

I've had a couple of enquiries about the adapter ring.

The SkyWatcher Newtonians have a very large hole in the OTA for the focuser and a matching plate to cover it. The standard Bintel focuser doesn't completely fill this, so an adapter is required. Bintel have them machined up on request, and they mate the focuser to the SkyWatcher base plate beautifully. You remove the Bintel base plate, add teh adapter and then connect to the existing SkyWatcher base plate. Also means you don't have to pull the SkyWatcher plate off.

I know it works on the 10". I am assuming it also fits other size scopes. The outside diameter of the adapter right (the wide flange at the bottom) is 95mm. You should be able to check the width of the existing focuser to confirm a fit.

Hope that helps clarify things.
