Talking I got to meet an IIS member :)

I feel a little isolated from all you astro peeps in here but hey i finally met one of you this week
Kevnool popped in my work to say gday (twice) woohooo
We did plan on having a nite of observing and he was going to teach me how to stop waltzing around the back yard with my scope
But the dam clouds were not so kind to us
We had a good gasbag anyway hehe

Oh well maybe next time Kev, it was great to meet up with you from such a mighty fine site
I cant wait to get the chance to meet a lot more of you in the near future

Sounds great.

Did you teach Kev a thing or two about emoticon usage?

I'm wondering whether Kev is going to start typing in purple text.

Regards,
Humayun

Check Your Gear Ron

Hey Ron,

You Did take inventory after you left Kev? Tell me you Did Kev. That astro chick has been known to sneak confiscate toys.

Hey Jen ,

I know the feeling, meeting people after long correspondence. Its a good feeling. Enjoy it Jen. Roslyn and I like to visit wineries and we may partake in some of the Swan Hill products in the near future.

First we have the Perth and New Zealand trips to get through.

Maybe next year.

In the meantime enjoy.

Cheers Marty

i didnt take any gear with me on that trip but if Jen had a 2" focuser there would of been a 30mm EP to join Jens collection.
Cheers Kev.

Jen, if you buy a Dobsonian then you won't have to learn how to do a polar alignment or waltz with your scope.

I dropped in on TrevorW a couple of weeks ago to check out his new GSO RC 8". Nice bit of kit I must say. We played lets collimate the beast and even had a little success in doing so.

I met a fellow IIS member at work a couple of weeks ago, sold him a hard-case to store some imaging gear in*. He seems to keep pretty much to himself(as do I)... but, he's only got his post count into the low double-digits in the three years he's been a member!

Actually, I've met a few people at work that visit IIS, tho only the above is a confirmed member, I think the rest are unregistered lurkers.

*The hard-case and imaging gear have since made an appearance in the For Sale section
