hmm it could be anything, maybe it was a worker with a knife, maybe it was someone leaning on it, maybe it was due to normal thermal stresses.. covering all their bases.

It also says the fleet is grounded until at least May 2006 - a long way off

yes its an article to share the blame, but not to pinpoint it to any one thing. So another words they have no idea!
