First modified DSLR image

This is a test shot of the newly modified 400d done by Eric
6X45sec ISO 400 50mm lens at F3.5 from light polluted suburban Sydney. What a difference!! Could not acquire that amount of red a year ago even under dark sky. Very happy
Piggybacked on a EQ5 mount unguided
Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker.

Nice clean widefiel Vincent. The camera seems to have captured the Ha in Carina quite well. Compare to the other widefield of the same image posted recently.
Looks good from here. Good luck with it.

Very nice. Eric - I soooo need to talk to you! Just need the courage to send my beloved camera in the mail and do without it for a bit.

forgot to mention, calibrating colour balancing with a grey card will make it more accurate but not required. you can obtain one quite easily from your local camera shop.
cheers
