9th April Jupiter

Hi all,

I am still comming to grips with the seeing conditions at the new location, which I would have called 6/10. Although when I stacked the avi at 90% in Registax 5, it stacked all the images.

I think this is one of my better images of Jupiter, and I hope a sign of things to come.

Hi Lester

Well, well, well – that is one ripper of a Jupiter image! It has everything; image scale, sharp features, natural looking processing, the GRS and heaps more. Top shot mate!

Cheers

Dennis

Wow Lester that's a ripper! The best from anywhere this year so far. I'd definitely call it more than 6/10!

Very well done, can't wait to see what else you capture this year.

If the seeing was 6/10 then that avi must have been captured in a pocket of fantastic seeing! Great stuff!

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I must admit that I have not had much experience with seeing better than 6/10, so my estimate is only that, an estimate.

Here is an image from an avi using the extention tube, and the sharpness just isn't there compared to the first image. Although the seeing was steady, the outer of Jupiter was in and out of focus slightly.

Wow, Stunning image Lester,

Love it, sharp as, amazing detail, processing focus all look great.
Me thinks the seeing was a tad better than 6/10.
A really exceptional image Lester among the best, I think, that I have ever seen.

Regards
Trevor
