Smokey Moon

Shot from last night (13 Feb 2009) of the moon through the bushfire smoke.
1/4 sec exposure on Canon 350D on a tripod with 300mm EF lens (effectively 480mm FL). Cropped out of a the centre of the RAW and converted to JPG. Focussed (badly) by eye (sorry!)

Focus was pretty hard - the tiniest movement set it off.
I couldn't be stuffed dragging the laptop out to use DSLRFocus to get it perfect. The main reason for the shot was the colour.

Don't forget too though that it was SMOKEY, so I don't know how much better it could have been.
