Holy Crap Batman!
Having been there when the falls had somewhat less flow, I can imagine how awesome it must be to stand there and see THAT much water coming over.

Cheers,
Jason.

Love these shots!

Attached is Carrington Falls, inland from Kiama. First image is one day. That night was very high rainfall, so I thought I'd go back to have a second look. See second! You could hear it roar from miles away!

I have now seen Barron Falls 3 times and each time Sommersby seems to run harder. I know that the Barron Falls can be seen like that but WOW....
As to Carrington falls I have never been there but it looks unreal I amy need to go have a look one day.

Thats amazing, Eric. I have stood and watched those falls so many times. I remember one year many many years ago, we travelled up to Kuranda on the train, and when we stopped at the lookout, they obligingly "switched" the falls on for a few minutes so we could take our photos
No need to switch 'em on for that shot

Andrew, all relatively close to each other are Carrington Falls, Belmore Falls, Fitzroy Falls and Minnamurra Falls.

Fitzroy are touristy, but nice. Minnamurra you have to pay to get into the reserve, but it's a nice visit. Carrington and Belmore are less accessible and therefore less visited - but accessible to vehicles. Belmore is super. Unfortunately in the shade when I took the attached shot.

If you get the chance...

You should visit the falls along Waterfall Way - several big drops between Bellingen to Armidale, and throw in a few more on the way - Wollomombi Falls and Rawson Falls (near Pt Macquarie).

The twin falls at Ebor were I think the best of all with a gorgeous setting, two sets of falls and plenty of water going over.

Thanks for posting, Erick.

I have seen Barron Falls like that in person - 1980... Cyclone Bruce. Wonderful sight!

Impressive pics Erick, have never found Carrington Falls, though went searching one day.
I bet all the falls are bucketing over at the moment. Huge rains up here, and wind.

Anyone know if it is possible to get to Wallaman Falls in the wet season?
I went there in august and it was raining and the water was running across the road in quite a few places, but only a few inches.

I think it would be a bit of a problem, but depending on the weather ... havent been for awhile, but think that the drive up to falls is a dirt road.
Ingham is awash at the moment, powerless .. and road cut north.
Things are supposed to ease in the next day or 2, but would imagine Wallaman to be absolutley beautiful at the moment.

Very spectacular, the last time I was up there it was dry as a bone.

It's good to see it the way it's mean't to be.

Cheers
