Question hello all

i have purchased an meade lx5 quartz mount and i am having some issues with it. out of the box we plugged everything in and can hear the motors enage, but when i push the buttons NSEW it does not move. now i know this is a older mount could it be it needs to be relubed and if so what kind of lube should i use. i am also looking for a service manual so i can feel more comfortable taking it apart. or perhaps someone has already done this and made a thread with pictures as to what is inside so i can compose a plan of attack. thanks in advance

If you increase the speed rate 8x, does that make a difference?
Cause even at 8x it's going to be moving very slow.

yep, you would only use the hand paddle to centre the target.
