Advice on Registax and Maxim DL

Hi all,
Was after some hints and advice on how Im capturing my images at the moment. I recently bought an orion star shoot 2 solar system imager (not a great camera but a good starting point) and im using this through my 12" bintel dob. Ive been using the included software of maxim dl essentials for capturing and registax for processing. With maxim instead of capturing single frames ive been capturing video at 30 fps and using registax to convert the avi file and align and stack. Is this the best way ?. Ive tried a couple of methods of capturing an image (mainly of the moon) letting the object drift through the feild of view and the good old hand guiding. Ive been captuing video for about 60 seconds which is giving me plenty of frames to work with but how do i select the good frames from the blurry ones in registax to give me a clearer picture. The alignment process works reasonably well but the blurry frames from hand guiding are giving me a blurred final picture.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Scott
