Talking And a 253 from me as well - 2008-10-24

Not taken from Cambroon but close, my place at Coolabine.

7 images @ 6 min ISO800, modded 20D, ED80 & WO 0.8 FR. ICNR. Aligned and stacked in IP and post processing in PS. Could have used a bit more focal length me thinks. Might have to try it with the 8"SCT and a 6.3 next time.

Enjoy.

It looks quite 3D - just hanging there. I know some people prefer closeups but I like the widefield views as well

Very nice Paul. There's a cluster, NGC258 I think, nearby which you can probably squeeze in as well.

Nice image Paul. More Focal Length would've been nice but a very nice image otherwise.

I was just wondering what software you are using that allows you to view the FOV of your imaging setup?

Well done.

Thanks Matty and Jeanette.

Matty, most planetarium software should let you set up fields of view to superimpose over the sky charts. In this case I've used The Sky 6. You can also get useful information from The New Astronomy Press websites CCD Calculator.

Very nice Paul, a bit more image scale would be nice, I have to agree with Dan it looks quite 3D.
