Imaging color with an Ha filter

I'm curious to know how some image in color yet are using an Ha filter. Don't images come in as Red or Orange using the filter?

Are they shot using both Ha and RGB filters in combination?

theres two main ways Ha images are given color.. Combining Ha data with RGB. This will usually add a lot of contrast and structure to the shape of a nebula, and strengthen the nebula against the sky background. The other is combining Ha data with OIII (and SII) to create narrowband false color images.
