Hi,
I have a nine year old C8 and the internal measurement where the tube cap fits on is approx 22.6 cm. This is measured from the inside to inside lens cap cover. From outside to outside you are looking at approx 23cm and length from front to back of OTA is approx 43cm ans to the end of the diagonal that came standard with the scope os 54cm. Hope this helps
Mark

Well, Sir h0ugh, if no one else has replied by tomorrow AM I shall, forthwith, remove my LX90 OTA from it's place of rest and proceed to measure its outwardly and inwardly dimensions....

Measurements of LX90 8" OTA are assuming Meade didn't change the dimensions of the OTA with the introduction of the R series. The internal dimensions, as near as I can reckon, (it's impossible to put a ruler unimpeded side to side because of the secondary housing) is 226 mm the outside 230mm (might be +/- 1mm). The secondary housing is 75mm diameter and protrudes past the end of the OTA. (just in case you were thinking of slipping a mask inside, you'll need to cut out the secondary location....)
