Hi Tony - is it possible at all for you to post an image that shows more detail re the spots in the lens coating? I'd be keen to see and know more, such as has it always had those spots?

Hi Steve, I had trouble getting the spots to show up in the photos. The spots are from the previous owner not cleaning the eyelens and eyelash oil, etc gets into the coating if left for any length of time. There are no spots directly on the centre of the lens; I have tried to see the spots by moving my eye all around the lens, while viewing deep space and bright objects, but I can't see any change in the view.

Thanks for that Tony, I do appreciate your reply. It's a shame they didn't look after it properly.

I AM quite tempted, to be sure .... I might sleep on it tonight, er tomorrow (shiftworker) and get back to you.

I have decided to pass on this at present - I've been reflecting (pun fully intended!) on my numerous recent purchases, and to be honest I've probably spent too much money of late, and spent too little time actually observing in recent months to justify this.

I hope someone else finds they have a definite need for this ep and gets back to you.
