M 57 now + H alpha

hi guys,


actually this is my very fist attempt ever to utilize h-alpha data.
I have chosen M57 which I have recetnly imaged as an LRGB.

I was lucky to have one clear night for acquisition of H-alpha data.
3 hours h-alpha in 2x2 binning mode.
(I'd love to do that in 1x1 but weather is no partner here...)

as soon as weather improves, I'd like to do some more luminance with
the 2x powermate and also I'd love to add much more h-alpha data.

Quite a bit of detail showing in this image mate and lots more than I could manage to squeeze out from down here in our southern skies where M57 is pretty low in the sky

big Mike, I know "your" m57 is very low in the sky, but for this circumstances you manged to get quite some nice result!
and - as a comfort you have gotten so many nice other objects high in the sky, which a creeping along the horizon here...M8,M16,M20...AAAANNNDDD Jupiter! so - this is kind of poetic justice here (-: *ggg*

A pearler dietz,the HA really brought out more detail thats for sure!

Stunning image Dietmar. The Ha has allowed you to capture detail in the outer shells that I have never seen. Fantastic work. This is the second "unorthodox" use of Ha I have seen tonight and I am thinking it is time to use it much more extensively. Thanks again.
