Guess this group

1st attempt tonight with my new Pentax DSLR this ones a 1 shot unguided 66 sec exposure at f5.6 210mm lens, enhanced in Photoshop. Focus may have been off as should have focused the camera before it got too dark so focus was set on infinity.

Sorry to be the party-pooper, but I cannot see NGC 4755 (The Jewel Box) in that image. Still thinking about it. One orange star, the rest of the bright stars blue/white? Hmmmm?

hmmm, tricky, my guess is M45 - The Pleiades??

Bit tricky when that cluster is less than 10 deg from the Sun at the moment. But stranger things have come out of WA?

ahh yes, but he did say he focussed before it got too dark.....as I said, worth a shot cause it does resemble it a bit.

Not Pleaides sorry the scope wasn't pointed in that direction at all last night. I set focus on infinity

I reckon this is IC2602 in Carina - the 'Southern Pleiades'....

Give the man a prize he knows his open clusters. Surprisingly I took this shot then forgot where the scope was pointing at the time. Thanks for the help !!!

Hey I've surprised myself my photo even looks like other photo's taken off this cluster.
