Talking TPoint, finally

Just recently I finally bit the bullet and bought TPoint. I have previously tried alternatives. And it arrived today! Very quick delivery, can't have been more than a week Looking forward to getting it up and running in the coming weeks

.. now I have to hunt down all those useful threads discussing how to use it, how to automate it's mapping of stars, etc.

Good Stuff Roger. Look forward to hearing the reports. Speak with Monte. Let me know if its possible to do a 150 point run in under 30mins Kind of freaky to watch your telescope slew, image, slew, image... by itself.

150 in 30 mins ... hmmm, unlikely for me to get near that That would require each shot to take 12 seconds. My camera takes 10 seconds to download a single photo, and I expect exposure times to be about 10 seconds

Probably looking at more 30 seconds/shot including slew, so 75 mins

Could be pushing it. You also need to plate solve as well. Though most programs let you plate solve while it slews to another target to keep the flow. This is a major benefit for those 300+ galaxy a night supernova searches.
