hi everyone


as iam writing this iam allso in the process of doing a bit of solar observing


theres a reasonable amount of activity and theres a big one coming around, great stuff

as ive only got two filters one of each size in the moon filter range

so what the heck tried both and not a bad view at all it seems to take most of the heat waves away cool views the best mags were 50x to 100x

Had a look at that new sunspot group this afternoon. I took a quick pic - olympus 5050 held to eyepiece its not good but shows the complexity.

ETX105, 18mm and Scopetronics solar filter.

hi rajah
i am just talking about the 2 moon filters that ive got one for the 1.25 inch ep's and one for the 2 inch ep i just screw the on the respective eps

I NEVER JUST USE A MOON FILTER BY ITSELF TO LOOK AT THE SUN
and had a look at the sun with them

as you know you will allso need a solar filter for the scope that fits over the front of the scope there are several kinds available cheap and not so cheap

or you can go for a PST if cash isnt a problem
