Variable Stars by SAO number (in database or spreadsheet)?

Hi y'all,

Not being the sort of AA who necessarily wants to muck around with a laptop when I'm out observing, I keep a folder of various objects of reachable declination for my latitude and sorted by right ascension (Messier, Caldwell, Lacaille, Dunlop 100, Hartung, Herschel 400, double stars, carbon stars, etc...). Because the Autostar allows me to search by SAO numbers, I also include this information whenever I can.

My question is, does anyone know of a similar resource which lists a reasonable number of variable stars, including their RA and Dec, as well as their SAO numbers (preferably electronic, and in a tabular format suitable for either Excel, Filemaker, or sim.)?

Thanks,

Brian.

PS I'm happy to share some of the stuff I've compiled, if anyone is interested. Some of it is in Excel, and nearly all of it is in Filemaker Pro. (Some of the file sizes are a bit large, so be warned!)
