Evening all
Does anyone know of, or can anyone recommend an illustrated reference list of observational targets in the Southern skies. I am after something that would for instance have a page containing an illustration of the object, its location and magnitude etc. broken up into types eg. gallaxies, clusters. That i could then use as a cover sheet and add note taking pages behind. Sort of like an observation workbook.
Does such a thing exist or would i be better off building up a folder of my own?

Yes mate Atlas of the Southern Sky -by Steve Massey and Steve Quirk you can buy it from My Astroshop./Observing Caldwell Objects Has black and white images of Objects and there Specs.by David Ratledge./The Messier objects Has drawings and black and white images of objects and there Specs.It misses some lower southern stuff.
