3 - Images...NGC3621 Galaxy... IC4628 & IC2944 Emission Nebulae
These are from data David captured in all nighters about two weeks ago ( one advantage of being retired  ) I've just got around to processing them.
1. ...NGC3621 - Very nice spiral galaxy 20 million light years distant
2. ...IC4628 - Prawn Nebula
3. ...IC2944 - Running Chicken Nebula
Details ::
1. 10 x 7min Lights ..... 5 x 7min Darks ISO800
2. 6 x 7min Lights ..... 6 x 7min Darks ISO800
3. 8 x 7min Lights ..... 4 x 7min Darks ISO800
Stacked DSS and Processed PS CS2
Canon 40D ..... Skywatcher 200mm Newt

all nice images, but just love the galaxy lots of detail and 3 dimensional.
its now on my must do list at some stage.

Doug we have been going 7 min since we stated guiding as we find we get the best results. Have noticed Erick is now shooting 7 min also.

Hi Barb & Dave, they are three lovely images and that is the first time that I can actually make out the prawn in an image.

The 40D certainly brings out finer detail than our Pentax Ric . Thanks for your comments

The camera has helped us improve our images Gary. The live view is magic for focusing

That extra focal length really changes the look of an object.

Yes Mike the galaxy seems to have a lot of detail even with our scope. It would be nice to see someone else give it a try with a longer focal length
