Mars from 15th Feb

I decided to give Mars a shot before it gets too small to get any surface detail. Mars was just above the roofline but I think it came out pretty good.

Details:

Celestron 8SE SCT f/20
DMK 21AU04.AS + 2x Barlow
Processed with Registax4
Stack Size: 400/2000

Thanks for looking

Thanks Gus,

The reason it is black & white is because I am using a Monochrome camera (B&W). To create a colour image, I need to capture a Red, Green and Blue channel then combine them into a colour image.

Nice Mars Matt. It sure has shrunk. I thought you were going after the Atik filter wheel and Astronomik LRGB set?

Thanks Peter,

I have been procrastinating for a while now. I hope to get the filters and filter wheel before the end of this month.

A very nice Mars image considering the angular size at the moment.
