First novice afocal moon image

New 8" scope. 25mm EP. Thought I'd have a go at an afocal shot.
Please dont laugh , thought it wasnt bad for my first shot; no editing.

Not bad at all for a first shot afocal. It looks like the seeing must have been decent. I don't even see any dust on your eyepiece

You may want to lower the exposure by a stop or two to keep it from getting burnt out in the brighter regions, but for the most part the terminator and maria turned out quite well.

Thanks all!

Was just a quick sequential shot exposure(.5s) holding the Olympus Digi Cam over the 25mm EP.

Not bad a result I thought for such simple thing to do.
