I noticed a Sirius observatory for sale

Hi guys,

I didn't put this in the for sale as I don't actually have anything for sale, but I was just looking at the Trading Post...as you do...and noticed someone is selling a 2.3m Sirius Dome with scopes etc. Just search for "telescope" or "Sirius" and it should come up. Note: I don't know the guy and am not interested myself, I have nothing to do with the trading post either, but I thought I would bring it to your attention if you are interested as it seems like a good buy.

Makes me wonder why they are selling it. I have actually considered getting this very dome myself...in a few years....

I guess you could hire a truck and pick it up, make a holiday of it...

I would imagine the seeing up there would be pretty good.

G'Day,
My guess would be that they have bought the property and the previous owner could not be bothered taking it with them and I agree the sky there would be "Great". I checked the distance from here and it's 1200 km and the time to get there would be 13 1/2 hours plus you would need a large truck to put it in,and God only knows how much petrol you would use still it's a good buy.
Cheers
Arthur
From your place it's only about 856 km about 9 1/2 hours, go get it tiger

Yep that would look pretty nice in my back yard. but then again maybe i would have to find a bit of prime viewing land first, any way it would be a good buy, with all the extras.

If one sold off all the un-needed extras and used there own stuff, i reckon it would come in pretty cheap.
