A "standard candle" to check out the new system.

Taken with the 10"RCX @f6 with AP0.75 FR in line.
SBig ST-10XME, A07.

Luminance needs more careful processing, and probably more data.

looks like the rats back with a vengence, superb image, i hadnt looked specifically before at your equipment but its obvious you are set up nicely there.

Very nice Stuart. I’d agree that the image would benefit from more luminance, although there is a terrific amount of detail in there as it is, right down to the core which hasn’t blown out – top job!

Actually it was an LX200GPS, soon to be for sale, once I work out what I have to sell and how much to sell it for.

I upgraded about 3 weeks ago, got two clear nights in, went to John Izzo's place in Macedon for one of them, followed by essentially 3 weeks of crap weather.

I think you've already highlighted the deficiencies Stuart - you need more luminance data. Still a fine image however. Look forward to seeing what you can do with the ST10 and RCX.

Hi Steve,

The subs were 5 mins each, 5 of each, colour binned 2x2. Guided with an AO7 unit.

I was planning on getting some more last night, but we got a Southerly and the sky went white at 10.30pm.

I'm planning on doing some Luminance at 2x2 binning to see the effect. When I bin 2x2, theoretically the system should be at the right pixel size (2" per pixel), so I'll be interested to see the results.
