Lunacy
OK, so I have "Newscopeitis" as well, but like a few others I have neglected the moon in favour of the giant(s).
So in a moment of lunacy the other night (19th) I shot a few. Partly it was to try out the new scope, and partly to reaquaint myself with old Luna.
Scope was MN76, with 2.5x Powermate, and the ToUcam. Seeing was about 6/10, with moments at the eyepiece after approaching 7-8/10. I especially got a kick with the bino viewer later, before the fog closed things down anyway.
I have a few others but you get the idea.
Gary

Great shots Gary, very sharp. Interesting to see a high sun view of gassendi, when compared to my low sun shot of a month or so ago..

Mike,
yes it is an interesting quirk to have two similar but very differing views. It has refreshed the "Image the moon" concept as well.
Waharau would be a good time Rob.

Yes, time to give in to the camera Rob! Then we can see what you see.
