Hi Guys, as i mentioned earlier it have been trying out the new prize of the SOOHO telescope time and just this minute finished looking at the Trifid nebula from the telescope in Chile. this was 8.50 our time this morning.

It was possible to take a snap shot of what i was looking at, but i don't know how it will come out.

So here goes.

Is this actual real time or a photograph? What diameter is the scope you are observing with etc...

Hi Andrew, as I said I'm still very new to this, but it is in real time, and the scope moves on to a new target with each reserved time frame of 5 mins per person that has reserved a particular time they wish to look at something.

There are many 5 min time slots and one can pick the time they want, and the targets that are available during that time of the year.

The actual size of the scope, i am not sure yet, but will keep playing.

But it certainly looks like fun.

Cheers Leon
