Bintel Deep Sky Imager Pro for 199.. tempting?

Hey Fellas:

Noticed this: http://www.bintel.com.au/MeadeDSIPro.html

For 189.. marked down from 599.

Now I have a 10 inch dob, BT252. So I can't track. But I'm thinking of in the long run getting into photography, and for that price I'm tempted to have a go now.

Am I falling victim to "WHOOHOO CHEAP!" or should I go for it?

Anthony

You won't be the only victim of "WHOOHOO CHEAP!" syndrome. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive (they ran out of stock )

me too-another victim

I bought mine in the US and had a cousin post it to me, couldnt handle the 4 week Bintel wait
PS in answer to your question-i'd say grab it now -you can always use it as a guide camera later

only why the pro? why not the single shot colour. seeing you are in no current positio to muck around with filters and such like?

It would make a great guide camera. Much better sensitivity than the stock standard colour one.

And yes I'm fighting of the "WHOOHOO CHEAP" syndrome myself.

@ Ken

You are absolutely right Ken.....for DSO, but it would never even come close for planetary work.
