Calling all South East Queensland IceInSpacers......
All roads lead to Glenore Grove this Saturday Night (28th) for a get together / observing session (and a sticky beak at Marks observatory progress).
It will be near last quarter moon so the first part of the night will be for faint DSO's, and then the lunatics (and I put myself in this basket
) can take over checking out the moon and brighter DSO's. Of course this is all weather dependent.
For those in Brisbane, I can attest to the much darker skies out at Glenore Grove. For the relatively short drive (less than an hour) it is well worth it.
If you are interested reply below or PM myself or Mark Hodson (mhodson) for directions and so we know how many are coming, and we may even be able to organise some car pooling if need be.
