Well, Al, that buggers me I thought last night, how could one make an interesting image out of a toothbrush, Ah, i said a real close up of the bristles i thought, that would be interesting, now i'm crushed.
Great Image by the way

Thanks Mike and Leon! There's no doubt about it, it is a challenging topic! I took several images, but this was the most aesthetically pleasing so it's the one. I saw some things, that I'm still trying to erase from my mind as well, but I'm sure my toothbrush is not unusual in that regard! It's a case of ignorance is bliss!

I did seriously consider going over the top in photoshop and produce an image with my tooth brush doing something outragious (like competing in a street luge race except I don't have a photo of a street luge to use!) . I'm not too sure how an obviously photoshopped image would be received in the competition, but I thought it might be worth a laugh!

I'm sure you guys will come up with some great photos... maybe not as close up, but being up closer doesn't necessarily make it a better photo!

Al.

Now see, that's why I picked a subject like "toothbrush".
I was sure our members would come up with interesting photos.
Well done Al that's a ripper of a shot !!!

Would love to see what others come up with too.

Someone's got to be lurking out there, doing previously un-thought of things to their toothbrush with a laser pointer...

Not an easy challenge, but if it wasn't it wouldn't be a challenge would it? Didn't really have many ideas for this, so this is the best I could do.

Cool shots Al and Ving... I think .

i dont like my shot... the dof is too shallow. if i get a chance i'll either reshoot it or.... i do have another idea, but it is rather experimental...

thats if i get a chance tho.

Mike (Sharnbrook), great take on the subject !

mmmm it's proving to be a bit of a challenge but it's bringing out the best in us.
Great entries so far.

I'll have to get my thinking cap on, haven't thought of anything yet.

C'mon guys,

Barely a week to go, and only 6 entries!

You can do better than that. As RB says, everyone has a toothbrush, just think outside the square a bit, and lets make a competition of it.

RB's got to be cooking something! It was his choice of topic! It'll probably be a late entry to keep us in suspenders...
