Need Help With Computer Mouse

Hello There

Was able to turn the scroll wheel to move the screen up and down. Turning the scroll wheel does not work any more. I have to now click the scroll wheel then use the courser to move the screen. I went into settings and could not find a solution to this problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to you all.

The mechanisms get full of dust/hair/everything (I have cats) and the best 2 options are disassemble and clean (you could try and blow it out with compressed air first) or, replace it.

For the price you pay for a new one these days I wouldn't bother trying to fix it, Office Works and the like have heaps from about $15 - $100 dollars and any colour you like

Best laid plans of mice and men?

Yes, often you can blow or brush the dust out of them, so give that a try. Otherwise, as Leon says, mice are cheap - I'm using a $4 wired mouse (from O/W) that works just as well as a $50 mouse.

Hello There

Seems like you are all saying the problem is dust around about the wheel. However, the wheel can still turn smoothly. Is it possible that it can be something else?

Hello There

A better explanation. Holding down the click bottom will no longer allow me to drag the screen up and down.

Hi Leon,

Refractordude is in the USA. He has to pay Trump's 145% import tariff on Chinese made goods which most of these are so 2.5 times more than we pay for these type of goods. So $40-$250 in the USA.
