Transit of Venus Animation

After a lot of playing with individual images and a long time uploading I've finally managed to put together my ToV animation project. This is 82 of my best frames (approx 5 mins apart) taken with the 400D through my 10" Newt. I've cropped and resized each frame and manually alligned them in PS.

Comments welcome.

Thanks for the comments. Tracking was a bit of a challenge as I had to re-position the mount part way through. This introduced rotation in some of the frames until I got the polar alignment sorted out.

err that would be where I relocated the telescope to avoid the house eclipsing the second half of the transit

I thought I'd been fairly clever where I'd set up, but my wife and her friend came home just before 3rd contact to find me frantically strangling the front hedge with the garden hose!

Explained I just need to pull the hedge out of the way for 10more minutes and couldn't be bothered moving.

Yeah - I thought I'd been clever too using astroplanner to work out where the sun was going to be throughout the event. Wrong!

Unfortunately there was no way the house was going to yield to my garden hose

well i had a similar predicament - between a tin shed and a tree - of which the tree was in the white light solar shots but the lunt was unaffected. I had only a few seconds to find and focus before first contact - i couldn't use the white light filter because of the shed but the lunt was just able to be used - just adds to the excitement i suppose - so why not use a garden hose

Thanks Bob. Lining them up was tedious but I couldn't stand the thought of spending all day taking images and having nothing to show for it.
