Image Plus DSLR Focus Wont Work

Hi All,

This is a general question for anyone who may be able to help.

I have been using Image Plus for quite some time, and for image processing it works great, however when it comes to using DSLR Focus, it just wont work.

I have followed the info to the letter, with not one result, am i missing something.

This is how i proceed, using my Canon 5D, please see below.

Any help would be appreciated.

Leon

Hi Leon

I would join the ImagesPlus Yahoo Group and post there, Mike Unsold, the developer of ImagesPlus will probably answer your question himself.

I use ImagesPlus myself, but not for focus, I use DSLRFocus.

Cheers

Hi Leon
I take it you're talking about the focusing module within Images Plus, rather than DSLR focus.

I use Images Plus successfully for focussing. You didn't say exactly what the problem was but your procedure looks pretty much the same as mine. Make sure that once you are in the focus tab, that your settings are manual, single shot, and not Bulb or Raw format. You can reset these after focus has been achieved and locked. I also found a bug that stopped the focussing module from working when I had mirror lockup enabled in my canon 350D - the whole thing would freeze - so now I enable this on the camera after focussing.

Attached is the check list I made for myself in setting up camera control and focus. Hope this is of some help.

Hi Graeme, Yes i'm sorry, I didn't say what the problem was, well it is this, when i press reset it tells me that it cant open the program, this is as far as i can get.

Thank you for the info, it is similar to mine but i will study yours, maybe i have missed something.

Cheers Leon
