Help with ASIAIR Plus on an iphone 15 plus

I have a new ASIAIR Plus. I haven't used an ASIAIR before.

I have setup wifi on the ASIAIR wifi and gave it the password and it connects.
Then I get a screen that says enter device. I click on that and it shows the asiair wifi top right of screen and in red it says " Service Unconnected". I presume that means it's referring to no internet connection. My wifi internet
connection on my phone is there but not selected as I can only select one wifi device at a time so it's the asiair or its the home wifi.

I can't get it to progress from this screen.

See the attached screens shot.

I have watched a video tutorial and it's using the latest asiair plus but it does not match my screen shots.

Any suggestions about how to get it going? It's a first time use so I need to do the activation step but it has never come up.

Yep super frustrating it happens to me too. I have to be on airplane mode or I can’t connect. However if it’s connected to my home wifi through Ethernet cable I can connect as normal through home network with no other issues

Thanks for the tips. That worked and now activated the unit.

Is there an easy way to turn the asiair app off? I have an iphone 15 and the app does not swipe off.

The polar alignment tool works really well and I got the PA really close.
No more polar scopes!

Greg.

Yeah I LOVE the PA routine in ASIAIR too. Regarding your question- yes the app should close with the swipe up from the bottom of screen gesture (reveals all open apps) and then swipe up again to close individual apps (I have iphone13 but think it’s very similar). If the reason you want to do this is due to some glitch, you can also restart the device from the menu too (first tab I think from memory). Or just use the switch on the device…

Thanks David.

Swiping is what I have been trying and it doesn't respond.

Hi Greg
I find that if I shut down the Asiair from within the App the App then closes.

Thanks Chris. Not to be obtuse, but how do you shut it down from inside the app?

Don't have mine in front of me Greg, but top left icon (alongside the camera, the mount etc). Bottom of the page, there is a swipe button in red I think, swipe that.

I close that down first, then power the mount off.

Admittedly, not used my (IOS) phone, just my iPad, but he "controls" should be the same.

EDIT** And with my iPad, I find it best to uncheck the auto-join with respect to my home wifi. Otherwise it jumps to the home wifi in preference to the AA+.

If you are swiping from the bottom it won't work, turn your phone into landscape mode and swipe up then it will close the app

Thanks for that, I'll try that out next time I use it.

Greg.
