Rupes Altai

Picture from 20/10/23 showing the Rupes Altai (450km approx) or Altai Wall, named for the Altai (Golden) Mountains in Central Asia.

Its length is marked at each end by the craters, Catharina (dia. 104km) in the North West, and Piccolomini (dia. 87km) in the South East.

Rupes Altai is a fault forming the South Western rim of the Mare Nectar Basin and reaches up to 4km above the surrounding plain..

ZWO ASI 178MM Camera. Celestron 9.25"CPC.

Approx 2000 frames washed through AutoStakkert then 10% stacked and sharpened in Registax.
