Heck it gets to zero in my van ..it's ok...but you have to put the milk in the fridge so i t does not freeze.
I don't have a heater in an effort to save the planet and just dress sensibly.

Generally an iced windscreen can be rectified with a spray bottle of Methylated spirits (Metho).
It generally won't affect paint work or windscreen rubbers. A quick spray melts the ice and the screen stays clear for some time, till my old Ford warms up enough to run the windscreen demister.

Methylated spirits could be detrimental to certain auto paints, I don't know but my 30 year old Falcon is fine with it. I keep a bottle in the car through winter where I live.

I wear shorts all year round and people think I am the village idiot, they might be right, but i have to admit it certainly has been chilly of late, however haven't traded them in for long strides as yet.

Wearing shorts in Winter ... sounds like more of a Queenslander thing.

Yes you are probably right Hans, but I have been doing it all my life, and I look around sometimes when I am out and i am not alone in this.

I recall back when I was a kid we all wore short pants...one place it was so cold the puddles would freeze over but all the kids wore short pants ... maybe that is how you formed the habbit Leon.

At one place no one wore shoes ...hard to imagine today.

Actually Alex that is right, I remember when I was a kid and that was a long time ago we didn't wear shoes and even went to primary school barefooted, Church and any anywhere for that matter.

But that was back in the 60's and we had 8 other brothers and sisters in the family.

And i also remember well sitting in the back of the Holden Ute just like Cols picture.

Black ice on the road to work on Tuesday -unexpected- most exciting freestyling the Landcruiser up the road @ 90kmh! Thankfully no other cars coming from opposite direction. I was only a passenger sitting in the driver's seat. Will keep a spare pair of ungers in the glovebox till Spring!

I never wear shorts outside of my house!
I do this for the people of the town, not so much for myself.
I have unsightly growths (besides my head) which look like tennis balls under the skin. A doc told me not to worry about them so I don't.
Plus battle scars aplenty from motorbikes, martial arts and industrial mishaps.
I do the town a favour by wearing jeans everywhere!
