Hi all again,...

Have been enjoying this long bout of clear skies up here the last week!
Most nights the seeing has been terrible but the skies have been very dark and clear...great for wideangle shots etc but just no good through the scope.
Last night it looked like the jetstream has finally moved away..

so set up the scope at midnight for some serious imaging..decided to do M20.
Seeing was average but not too bad and was very dark as the moon set lower. Managed to get 6 images before a thick fog came from nowhere to end my night early..

Ok image is 6 x 4 min iso 800 with canon 300d and my 6" f/5.6 newt. Was very cold which really helped keep the noise low for only 6 subs. So not bad for 24 min total. Another to revisit on a better night!! Plenty of cold clear winter nights ahead...fingers crossed!!
Cheers Gary....
