The Milky Way rising #2

Hello all,

Second image. Averaging one ever 2 nights

The more northern tail of the Milky Way rising form the east. The cloud really played a part in reducing the detail visible in this shot, the bottom half is largely lost to it I believe.

The horizon is visible, but nothing much interesting sorry That's what you get for looking out over a wheat field

I like the golden glow. I don't know what causes it specifically but it's a trait of this particular location I find. In the summer I put it down to dust, but in the winter I'm not sure. I can only think it's perhaps a combination of the cloud, perhaps some dust, and the white balance that the camera chooses at the time? Don't know. I do like the glow, it gives it a "old" feel - yellow is an "old colour" I think, like yellow galaxies often look old to me. It's like the star light showing up in this image is showing it's age, having travelled 100's of millions of lightyears

More to come (with more interesting objects)

Roger.
