Jupiter Sample - 11th May

Hi all

Took this on Friday night, approx 11:30pm. Seeing was very good for about an hour, and I've got about 5 good runs (with moons) to finish processing.

Here's the first sample from one of the first runs. I've not pasted the moons in yet - they need to be processed on their own because they were out of the FOV of Jupiter at the focal length I was using.

More tomorrow, I hope!

Brilliant, I`m jealous.

Jupiter is one of my favorite viewing targets and I wish I could take some photos of it, that goes for Saturn also, but unfortunately I have an undriven dob and a regular DSLR.

Maybe oneday I`ll get an EQ mount and an astro CCD camera.

Cheers.

Very nice, Mike.

Perhaps a little too saturated and a little too red/rusty, but still a great capture.

Where'd you get that seeing from???
