New iOptron HEM44 with precision encoders

Hi all,

Was noodling about on the Bintel website when I came across a (new?) HEM mount from iOptron, the HEM44 EC.

https://www.bintel.com.au/product/io...sion-encoders/

20kg payload from a mount weighing in at less than 7kg with precision encoders. Add this to the list of contenders for my new travel mount.

Not crazy about the price though.

Rene

Yeah they've been on a roll with new mounts lately.
They have got a whole bunch of new hybrid strain wave products.

They categorise them under HEM (Equatorial), HAE (AZ/EQ) and HAZ (Alt-Az)

Some have encoders, some don't

HEM: https://www.ioptron.com/category-s/256.htm
HAE: https://www.ioptron.com/category-s/264.htm
HAZ: https://www.ioptron.com/category-s/263.htm
