Gabriela in SHO

The Gabriela Mistral nebula in SHO.

Taken over 4 nights in suburban Adelaide. GSO RC8 and ZWO 294MM on an Astro-Physics Mach1 mount with Chroma filters.

Astrobin version is here for more details ... along with my badly punny image title (and an explanation in the description).

Excellent image !!
Plenty of fine detail, superb resolution and colours are spot on
I can see why mono data with quality filters leaves a OSC behind ( referring to my OSC NB Bi colour Gabriela lower down the list, although vastly different integration times )
Well done !!

Martin

Pretty good result there Paul, that framing works nicely for this FOV

I said it before but this area with the head of Gabriella there, sticking out of the larger section of nebulosity, always reminds me of this scene from John Carpenters The Thing

Very clean & sharp - looses some initial impact though - as the colours appear a bit muted.

Can't unsee the Thing now!
