Eagle to Swan duoband

Shot from the 27th of July to the 6th of August on and off in about the same conditions and gear I did that M8 shot. ~9h per panel same processing but for the mosaic in Regitar and panels blending in Photoshop.

1:1 [6132x2362 - 6.05MB]
HDH [4985x1920 - 4.40MB]
HD [1920x739 - 997KB]

This one's a little smoother and sharper thanks to the larger integration time. Enjoy the view.

It probably would if I started playing with colour. Actually I have some old RGB somewhere from astrofest 2017. Might give it a go.

The last two nights improved seeing helped a bit. Although my FWHM never went under 3.5". Last week best I could do was north of 4". Shocking.

I did that field with the C11 hyperstar years ago which is the same field size as the FSQ so I knew it would fit. Just.

Yeah I saw your double panel on Rho. Really impressive given the elevation from your location and the relatively short integration time. It passes overhead here and I've always struggled getting good SNR on it still. I did 4 panels with an FSQ106N over the past 4 years and keep adding to it but it's nowhere near as smooth as yours yet.

Wow that is clean..... its superb.....Id love to see it overhead....I will revisit it and see if I am able to extend to the Blue Horse.
On mine to help with the signal I used all of the RGB data and combined it with the Luminance data to create a Super Luminance frame. It becomes more forgiving when it comes down to the noise in the lower signal areas. I am then able to give the RGB layer a linear noise correction before doing a non-linear noise reduction....it seems to work well enough.

That's a good idea. I'll give it a go. I'm after making a 3 panel mosaic of the blue horse head as well as we had a total lunar eclipse not so long ago and I need a color background for my composite. But that one is too faint to shoot from home and I'll need to drive to dark skies. We're in lock down right now confined to a 5km radius so maybe next year.
