Hi
I took an image of the Moon ,Prime Focus with my 10 inch F5.6 scope, EOS 300d at ISO 100. Used Photoshop to greatly increase saturation. This is the result. http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/temp/colourmoon.jpg
I was surprised to see the different colours.
Using a 16mm nagler and 2.8x barlow and Afocal 9-method with the camera I got this view of Jupiter and Io (4 images stacked, unsharp masked etc with Photoshop) http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/temp/jupiter.jpg
I don't know why you got those colours - I could guess and say that there was some IR or UV that came through as well and confused your camera into seeing "more" red and blue than it shoulda, but only a guess.
Looks Great!!! Looks like every part is sharp and in focus. Now, was that Photoshop that put the colors in there or that's what how it started out? Sorry, I get confused easily ... :-)
Awesome Moon ... I expect to see it along with Birds Jupiter in the next issue of Aust Sky & Tel or Sky & Space !
Gotta get me one of those Canon 300d digitals
