M7 ptolemy's cluster

Had a good few hours clear last weekend.
M7 i have tried before but always had a few issues with equipment that ended in nothing worth showing. This was the first time with the ASI2600 and autofocusing in NINA.
I tried 600s exposure time.
I am happy with the result with only 2 hours of time.

Nice one Jack.

The hi res image is a stunner with a great range of star types and colours visible.

You might get rid of the elongated stars in the corners using the right corrector or flattener, or just crop them out!

Not sure which lens but someone will know...

Thanks Marc and Peter.

I have been looking at the dedicated orion field flattener for the Eon.

https://www.amazon.com.au/Orion-0867.../dp/B015ZYEYAW

I have in fact ordered one from Amazon, however it is currently unavailable and seems like orion have stopped manufacturing them.

bintel have them unavailable as do all the places i can find in the USA

there are 2 others that in theory could be suitable, i think i'll put a separate question up on here to see if anyone has opinions on them specifically with my scope.

thanks for your suggestion

Jack

William Optics has a range of adjustable reducers/flatteners as well that are pretty good. I had a P-FLAT IV with my ED80 that did a good job.
