Registax - any sample AVIs?

I've just loaded Registax but have nothing to experiment with to learn how to use it

Until I get a functioning webcam, is there anywhere I can download some sample AVI files - eg. moon, planets, stars - or am I kidding myself - they'll be too big to download? I've been searching with Google, but have found nothing yet.

, Eric

I've uploaded some in the past but not sure where they are right now. If I get time later I'll upload one.

Dennis uploaded one for me to play with recently, you could ask him if you could download it to play with. It's about 250meg though.

Thanks Mike. Hold it for a moment. I've done a bit more targeted searching (using www.altavista.com where I can search specifically for AVI video files) and am downloading what looks like a moon and a saturn AVI - 170 and 230 MByte respectively!!

They are here:-

Seems to be lots of videos.

Might be easier and quicker if we can find someone in your area that has some and then burn them to DVD and drop them off. If you don't have any joy let me know and I'll burn a couple to CD (no DVD burner) and post them to you.

Eric, you can check out the CN forums in there Imaging section. People will often post a Challenge to better process there raw data. Its like a mini competition I think. Perhaps we could do the same here on IIS.
